R2E Event Photographer Antonio Pullano Gets First Look at Katrina Darrell.

We won't take a headcount to see how many people out there are actually avid fans of the hit musical reality show American Idol, but we will just assume majority of you out there are fans either by choice or by force (i.e. significant other). The beginning of Season 8 officially launched on Fox this past Tuesday night and with it came the same mixed lineup of talented aspiring artists and eccentric young adults trying to convince judges that their shower voice is worthy of the Billboard Top 10. One such character might have stuck out more so than others... that of young 20 year old Katrina Darrell, an aspiring model, singer, and all-around spotlight stealer probably better known to you all today as 'the bikini girl'. R2E Event Photographer and Principal of LovinLife Multimedia Antonio Pullano , had the first look at this model/singer [see video below]. Now before you go throwing your cup of coffee at the computer monitor...we thought we'd break down a few of the categories you might fall into after watching:

The Idol Fan- the true American Idol fan has probably already published a few blogs defaming this contestant (citing such things as lack of talent, bribery, and promiscuous tactics), and has likely already started a petition to revoke this contestant's Hollywood admission.

The Jealous Girlfriend- as soon as the nearly nude Katrina showed up on the TV so did the awkward silence. There's little doubt the eyes of the girlfriend were not as focused on the TV as they were on you (yes I am talking to you, boyfriend who will be recording American Idol on your TIVO so you can rewatch the Katrina audition over again while your girlfriend strolls to the bathroom).

The Confused Bystander- this is probably the roommate who was only heading to the kitchen to grab some ice cream but ended up seeing the striking resemblance of Audrina Partridge in a bikini and decided to sit down and watch for a little while. After being notified they were not watching a rerun of an episode of The Hills the confused roommate leaves the room scratching their head in debate on whether to watch American Idol going forward.

The Born Again Idol Fan- let's face it, you only watch American Idol because somebody forces you (either your girlfriend/boyfriend, roommate, or friend). Every season leaves you less and less interested. However, after watching Katrina's audition you suddenly have a surge of faith in the show again if for nothing else but for the pure shameless entertainment value.

We think that pretty much covers all the categories. Regardless of your emotional state you have to admit one thing... that was one successful business plan! She got into Hollywood and likely just launched a modeling career (or at the very least an MTV reality show). Congratulations to our always reliable events photographer Antonio Pullano for knowing success when he sees it!! Like LovinLife says, “Just smile. We’ll make you famous”.
